Surein Foundation Limited Eco-Lifestyle Drawing and Colouring Competition 2021

Themes: Protecting the environment, reducing waste at source, sorting wastes for recycling, building a green community.

 

Date: 5 May, 2021 (Wednesday) - 27 August, 2021 (Friday), (as per email date)

 

Purposes: Through painting, drawing and colouring competitions, promoting green lifestyle and building green communities in Hong Kong.

 

Groups:

  1. Kindergarten -- Children and parents.
  2. Primary school -- Primary school pupils.
  3. Secondary school -- Secondary school students.
  4. Public sector -- Tertiary institution students and public.

Guidelines and contents:

 

Kindergarten children and parents:

  • Please select one colouring sketch from the two provided in the Surein Foundation website, and colour it for this competition.
  • The colouring sketch may be printed on A3 or A4 paper.
  • Details may be added onto the sketch to enhance the spirit and purpose of green lifestyle.

Primary and Secondary schools, Public sector

  • Paintings may be done on paper or canvas, at A3 or A4 size, vertically or horizontally.
  • Paintings may be in colour or black-and-white. There are no restrictions on media and materials.
  • Contents shall comply with the Themes and Purposes of this competition.

Submission methods:

  • Please download the Joining Form from the Surein Foundation website, fill it out and sign it. Please scan the signed Form and Drawing to be used for this competition or take a photo image thereof, and email the e-copies of the Form and Painting to info@sf.org.hk
  • The Painting file shall be in JPEG format, the maximum size shall be 10Mb.
  • Please retain the original of the works submitted for verification at a later stage.
  • Each participant may only submit one entry. Schools may batch the entries of students and email en bloc to the Surein Foundation at info@sf.org.hk.

 

Deadline of submission:

The deadline is 27 August, 2021 (Friday), as per email date.

 

Adjudication and Assessment criteria:

  • An adjudication Panel comprising members of the public will be formed to select the winning entries.
  • The Selection criteria shall include: contents, creativity, colouring and presentation skills.
  • The colouring works must be primarily done by the children.

 

Announcement of results:

  • Winners will be informed individually by email, telephone, or letters.
  • Results will be announced at the Surein Foundation website before November 2021.

 

Prizes:

Kindergarten children and parents (Colouring competition)

First Prize (1 winner): A certificate and Scholarship of HK$500.

Second Prize (2 winners):A certificate and Scholarship of HK$300.

Third Prize (3 winners): A certificate and Scholarship of HK$200.

Merit Prizes (several): A certificate and a souvenir.

 

Primary School Pupils (Drawing competition)

First Prize: A certificate and Scholarship of HK$1000.

Second Prize: A certificate and Scholarship of HK$700.

Third Prize: A certificate and Scholarship of HK$500.

Merit Prizes (several): A certificate and a souvenir.

 

Secondary School Students (Drawing competition)

First Prize: A certificate and Scholarship of HK$1500.

Second Prize: A certificate and Scholarship of HK$1000.

Third Prize: A certificate and Scholarship of HK$700.

Merit Prizes (several): A certificate and a souvenir.

 

Public Sector (Drawing competition)

First Prize: A certificate and Scholarship of HK$3000.

Second Prize: A certificate and Scholarship of HK$2000.

Third Prize: A certificate and Scholarship of HK$1000.

Merit Prizes (several): A certificate and a souvenir.

 

Exhibition of Winning Works:

The Surein Foundation would exhibit the winning entries at the Surein Foundation website and at other public venues. Details will be announced.

 

Matters for Attention:

  1. All entries received shall not be returned, irrespective of the competition results.
  2. Competitors shall comply with the Competition Rules, otherwise their entries may be disqualified.
  3. Works submitted must be original, and have not been used in other competitions.
  4. Competitors shall declare that their submitted works are not amenable to any claim of infringement of intellectual property rights (including but not limited to copyright and patent rights) of any person(s) or corporation(s) nor have there been claims from any third parties. Violators will result in forfeiture of joining rights. The consequential legal responsibilities shall be borne personally by the competitors concerned.
  5. The Organiser shall have the right to print, promulgate, publish and exhibit the works received for this competition, without the need for consent of the competitors, or payment of fees.
  6. The decision on winning entries by the Surein Foundation shall be final. Claims over the competition results and allocation of prizes and related issues shall not be entertained。
