Surein Foundation Limited Eco-Lifestyle Drawing and Colouring Competitions 2022

 

Supporting organisations: The Sun Museum, OISCA International HK, Y’s Men’s Club of North West, Yuen Long Town Hall.

 

Themes: Clean energy, low-carbon trip-making.

 

Date: 1 June, 2022 - 30 September, 2022, as per email date.

 

Purposes: Through painting, drawing and colouring competitions, promoting use of clean energy in trip-making and reducing air pollution.

 

Sectors:

(1) Kindergarten -- Kindergarten Children (assisted by Parents/Guardians)

(2) Primary School -- Primary School Pupils

(3) Secondary School -- Secondary School Students

(4) Open Sector -- Tertiary Institution Students, Working and Retired Persons.

 

Guidelines and contents:

 

1) Kindergarten Sector:

a) Please download the base sketch from the Surein Foundation website <www.sf.org.hk> and print it out on A3 or A4 size paper for colouring.

b) Details may be added onto the Sketch before colouring, to enhance the appreciation of “clean energy, low-carbon trip-making”.

c) The colouring work should be done by the child. The parent/guardian shall provide a written message (on a separate sheet, in about 20 words), explaining the importance of “clean energy, low-carbon trip-making”.

 

2) Primary, Secondary Schools, Public Sectors

a) Drawings may be done on paper or canvas, at maximum of A3 size, vertically or horizontally.

b) Drawings may be in colour or black-and-white.

c) The contents shall comply with the Themes and Purposes of this competition.

d) For the sake of fairness, drawings produced using computer-graphics are not acceptable.

 

Submission methods:

a) Please download the Joining Form from the Surein Foundation website <www.sf.org.hk> and fill it out.

b) Please scan the signed Form and Drawing for this competition, or take a photographic image thereof, and email the e-copies of the Form and Drawing to <info@sf.org.hk>.

c) The Drawing file should be in the JPEG format, the maximum size shall be 10MB.

d) For the Kindergarten Sector, the ‘message’ by the parent/guardian should also be sent in JPEG format.

e) Only one entry should be submitted per participant. Please retain the original, in case it is needed for exhibition.

f) Schools may submit students’ works en bloc, so long as the forms are individually completed.

Deadline of submission:

The deadline is 30 September, 2022 (Friday), as per the email date.

 

Adjudication:

a) An Adjudication Panel comprising members of the public will be formed to select the winning entries.

b) The selection criteria for the Primary, Secondary Schools and Public Sectors shall include: contents, creativity, colouring and presentation skills.

c) For the Kindergarten Sector, the parent’s messages are weighted 20% while the child’s colouring works will take up 80%.

d) The determining criterion for the Kindergarten, Primary and Secondary Schools Sectors is class attended on 1 August, 2022.

 

Announcement of results:

a) Winners will be informed individually by email, telephone, or letter.

b) Results will be announced at the Surein Foundation website <www.sf.org.hk> before year end 2022.

 

 

 

Prizes: Kindergarten Sector (Colouring Competition)

First Prize: (1 number): A certificate and Scholarship of HK$500.

Second Prize (2 numbers):A certificate and Scholarship of HK$300.

Third Prize (3 numbers): A certificate and Scholarship of HK$200.

Merit Prizes (several): A certificate and a souvenir.

 

Primary School Sector (Drawing Competition)

First Prize: A certificate and Scholarship of HK$1000.

Second Prize: A certificate and Scholarship of HK$700.

Third Prize: A certificate and Scholarship of HK$500.

Merit Prizes (several): A certificate and a souvenir.

 

Secondary School Sector (Drawing Competition)

First Prize: A certificate and Scholarship of HK$1500.

Second Prize: A certificate and Scholarship of HK$1000.

Third Prize: A certificate and Scholarship of HK$700.

Merit Prizes (several): A certificate and a souvenir.

 

Open Sector (Drawing Competition)

First Prize: A certificate and Scholarship of HK$3000.

Second Prize: A certificate and Scholarship of HK$2000.

Third Prize: A certificate and Scholarship of HK$1000.

Merit Prizes (several): A certificate and a souvenir.

 

Exhibition of Winning Works:

The Surein Foundation will exhibit the winning entries at the Surein Foundation website <www.sf.org.hk> and at other public venues. Details will be announced.

 

Matters for Attention:

1. Entries received will not be returned.

2. Competitors shall comply with the Competition Rules. Violators will be disqualified.

3. Works submitted must be original, and have not been submitted to other competitions.

4. Competitors warrant that their submitted works do not infringe the intellectual property rights of any person(s) or corporation(s) nor have there been claims from any third parties. Violators will be disqualified from the competition . The consequential legal responsibilities shall be borne personally by the competitors concerned. The competitors shall also indemnify the Surein Foundation for all liabilities incurred as a result of their breach of warranty above.

5. The Surein Foundation may print, promulgate, publish and exhibit the works received, without the need for consent of the competitors, or payment of fees.

6. The decision on winning entries by the Surein Foundation shall be final.
