2023/24 Surein Foundation Scholarship X HKBU

On March 21st, a simple but heart-warming ceremony was held at the Surein Foundation Office, in which Surein Foundation Scholarships were presented to two undergraduate students of Hong Kong Baptist University. We would like to share the joy with you.

The Surein Foundation Scholarship was established at Hong Kong Baptist University in 2021 and was first awarded in 2022. The purpose is to encourage undergraduate students to pursue studies in disciplines related to biological and soil sciences, organic cultivation and certification management of organic agricultural produce.

Two students from the Department of Bioresources and Agricultural Sciences received the award this year, they are year 4 Yau Yee Man, and year 3 Yip Ka Chun. In handing out the Scholarship Certificates, Mr. James Kwan, Chair of the Surein Foundation Scholarship Committee, extends heartfelt congratulations to the two award-winning students, affirming their efforts and expressing great expectations for their future. Ms. Brenda Lam, a Director of the Foundation, hopes that the Winners will sustain high standards and accomplishments in the field of organic agriculture.
