The signing ceremony of the Surein Foundation (Kwan Foo Yuen and Lo Miu Wah) Environmental Education Scholarship completed!
On 5th of December, a group of management representatives from Queen's College Old Boys' Association Secondary School and Surein Foundation (Kwan Foo Yuen and Lo Miu Wah) Environmental Education Scholarship recipients visited the Foundation office to witness the signing ceremony of the scholarship increase sponsorship. Two directors of the Foundation, Ms. Brenda Lam and Mr. Ernest Lee attended the ceremony. Scholarship donor Mr. James Kwan, J.P. delivered a blessing.
Representatives of the school included Mr. Peter Mok, Chairman of the school sponsoring body, Mr. Michael Chan, School Supervisor, Mr. Lawrence Cheung, Treasurer of the School's Incorporated Management Committee, Mr. Tong Ying Kit, Chairman of the Education Fund Sub-Committee of the School Sponsoring Body and Mr. Ronald Hui, School Principal. In addition, 4 awardees were also present to witness this meaningful moment.
After the ceremony, the students shared their feelings of winning the award, mentioned that their campus and after-school activities were full of environmental protection elements such as energy saving, biodiversity and waste separation. They were also inspired by the scholarship in their career planning. The Board of Directors of the Foundation encouraged the students to strive for their dreams and make contributions to the field of environmental protection!
Surein Foundation (Kwan Foo Yuen and Lo Miu Wah) Environmental Education Scholarship, with a total amount of HK$100,000 and an annual disbursement of HK$10,000, are awarded to students at the Queen's College Old Boys' Association Secondary School who have outstanding academic performance and are enthusiastic in participating in environmental protection activities.
